Foxconn Chairman Young Liu defended its hiring practices in India on August 17 after government investigations were ordered following a report that the firm rejects married women from iPhone assembly jobs in the country. The iPhone supplier previously acknowledged some lapses in hiring practices in 2022 and said it had worked to address the issues, but added that it "vigorously refutes allegations of employment discrimination."
