Samsung will reportedly introduce a new kind of blue phosphorescent OLED panel in 2025. Switching from blue fluorescent OLED to blue phosphorescent OLED (PHOLED) is expected to significantly improve energy efficiency, leading to lower power consumption. The blue fluorescent OLED reportedly has 25 percent internal luminous efficiency while the PHOLED panels claim to deliver 100 percent efficiency.
