Google Pay Said to Begin Collecting Convenience Fee on Mobile Recharge Transactions

TMS
Google Pay has begun charging a convenience fee when users purchase a mobile recharge plan, according to user reports online. The company appears to have joined rival payment platforms Paytm and PhonePe that previously introduced a convenience fee when users make prepaid recharge payments. Google Pay has reportedly begun to charge up to Rs. 3 in convenience fees on mobile recharge plan purchases via its payment platform.
