Microsoft has reportedly shut down its Airsim and Bonsai projects, both of which were part of its industrial metaverse development division. The members that were part of these respective teams were asked to join a virtual meeting earlier this week, where the software giant disclosed that they were being laid off. The software giant is looking to keep its focus on AI for now but claims to be committed to the growth of its metaverse efforts as well.
